When you regularly refresh
your BMW navigation, your map shows
you:

• New roads opened or existing
  ones closed
• Time-saving detours for your usual
  rides
• Almost 300 000 new points of interest are added
  each year (hotels, gas stations, cafes, etc.)
• Current
  speed limit information (for vehicles with speed cameras or Speed Limit retrofit)

BMW recommends performing a BMW
navigation system map update at least once a year. For anybody who drives a
lot, though, it’s better to get new information every three to six
months.

Read Before
Buying!

• Always send a message
  with your VIN and current map version picture first to check if it is matched
  your car and for which version!
• Do not order before you
  have the confirmation!
• The map download link will be
  provided by email ONLY.
• This package only contains map
  data download links!
• Attention: If you have a retrofitted
  navigation system (region map change or unit from another car) on your car or
  you don't know which navigation version you have, please send us a message
  first.

Should any questions arise
during the map update procedure, please refer to the FAQs
below:

• Where is the USB interface
  port in my vehicle?
  The USB interface port required for the map
  update can be found in the glove compartment. Should there be no USB
  interface port in the glove compartment, please use the USB interface port in
  the center console or in the storage compartment in the center
  armrest.
• Will any of the data that has already been
  transferred be lost if I stop during the journey?
  No. When you
  continue your journey after a stop, updating automatically resumes (assuming
  the USB stick is still connected).
• The update for the
  navigation road map does not work.
  Check for the following possible
  errors:
  * If the vehicle identification number (VIN) on the BMW
  Navigation Certificate (FSC) match the VIN of your vehicle? (This can be
  found in your registration document)
  * Did you avoid entering zeros
  and ones when typing in the activation code? (Danger of confusion with
  “I” and “O”.)
• How to update your
  digital road map in just a few simple steps?
  1. Format the USB flash
  drive to FAT32 partition.
  2. Download the map and extract Copy all
  files in folder NAVDxxx_xxx to USB. ( File in Folder NAVDxxx_xxx
  )
  3. Plug the USB into the car and start updating from the
  screen.
  4. Enter FSC code update
  Success.

Remark:
Just the BMW map download link doesn't include FSC Code. If
you need FSC Code, please order FSC Code for additional.
